I think there's something here.
Seeing things like this posted, “liked,” and reblogged is easily the saddest part of the 99% movement. Clearly, this person is not a member of the richest 1% and it’s not simply “your decision” whether you are or aren’t.

This person did everything right and is still barely making it. In all likelihood, something like a serious medical expense would wipe him out. That’s how the hundreds of people who reblogged this believe “it’s supposed to work”?

The bottom line is this: if you post something on the Internet describing how much you have to struggle, how you’ve done everything exactly right and are only managing to scrape by, then you are part of the 99%.

If you don’t think Wall Street bears any responsibility for that, if you think that the economic imbalance is this country is correct and just, then argue that point. But this sign doesn’t make that argument, and if its author thought that documenting his struggle would somehow diminish the 99% movement, he was sorely mistaken—it only lends it more support.
